Where are you these days?
I am currently at Eriksminde Efterskole, outside of Odder.
What was it like to make the transition from ISB into a new environment?
It was difficult at first, especially starting in a Danish efterskole, considering that Danish is my second language. Now, however, about a month after being at efterskole, I have gotten used to my routine and my new surroundings, although some things are still difficult. I started at Risskov Efterskole in August but I did not like it there so I switched to Eriksminde Efterskole, about a month after I started. I like Eriksminde a lot more, but of course it is challenging to start a month after everyone has already been there.
What did you carry with you from ISB that’s been the most valuable?
ISB has taught me to be open-minded and thoughtful of the world around us. This has helped me when starting a new part of my life and meeting lots of new interesting people.
What do you plan on doing next year?
As of now, I am not 100% sure of what I plan to do next year. I am deciding whether to take an STX education at Rosborg Gymnasium in Vejle, or continue doing IB at Kolding gymnasium.
What advice do you have for the current M5’s?
Don’t stress about your grades and the big projects, it will be okay – it will not matter in the future. It is also important to enjoy the time you have with your class and your friends, as it is the last time you will all be together.
What do you miss the most from ISB?
I miss the teachers, they were all so kind and talented at their jobs and they were able to make even the most boring topics fun. I also miss being able to see my class and my friends everyday.
