Where are you these days?
This year, I’m attending an efterskole called Hellebjerg Idrætsefterskole. At Hellebjerg, I spend my days playing football, going to classes, and hanging out with my friends.

What was it like to transition from ISB to a new environment?
The transition from ISB to Hellebjerg has been really weird. Leaving a town full of people with international backgrounds, to basically living at a school where I am the only one who has lived outside of the country, feels like stepping out of a portal.

Every part of my day is in Danish, except for my English classes. It will definitely take some time to get used to. It’s hard to leave the familiarity of ISB, but so far, I’m loving it here.

What did you carry with you from ISB that’s been the most valuable?
From ISB, I’ve taken a strong work ethic with me. I’ve learned to be good at submitting assignments before they’re due and working efficiently. This is something I value not only in my lessons, but also in other tasks in my daily routine.

What do you plan on doing next year?
Next year, I plan to go to Rosborg Gymnasium.

What advice do you have for the current M5s?
My advice for this year’s M5s is to use this year to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Try new things, and remember to just breathe. What I learned about myself from stepping out of my comfort zone in M5 has helped me in more ways than I ever expected.

What do you miss the most from ISB?
I miss the teachers at ISB. They work hard to prepare you for your next step, and they put extra effort into lessons that often goes unnoticed. I miss being taught by people who are so clearly passionate about what they do.
