Chloé
Where are you these days?
I am at Lunderskov Efterskole (not far from Kolding) as a film production student.
What was it like to make the transition from ISB into a new environment?
Everything about being at efterskole is completely different from ISB. Not just the language but also the daily routine, social aspects and academic aspects are all very different and at first challenging to get used to, but nonetheless very exciting.
What did you carry with you from ISB that’s been the most valuable?
The ISB mindset and values are the things that I cherish the most; mainly about being open-minded, risk taking, being disciplined and principled and keeping the lessons about the environment and sustainability in the back of my mind.
What do you plan on doing next year?
Next year I plan on going to gymnasium for STX. I realised that I would benefit continuing school in the Danish system if I would like to stay here for university. Despite that, I am grateful to be coming from an international background because it gives me multi-educational perspectives to use in my daily life and education.
What advice do you have for the current M5’s?
Nothing is set in stone. There are so many opportunities in this world and you should not let your “failures” or set backs prevent you from thinking big about how you want to live your life.
What do you miss the most from ISB?
I don’t believe that I will ever have an educational experience as globally and introspective as the one I got at ISB and that is thanks to the amazing teachers and the extra effort they put in when teaching.
